River levels have peaked on the River Don at Kilnhurst and are forecast to continue to fall overnight and through tomorrow (22/02/2022) when we expect to be able to remove this warning. However, currently, levels still remain high. Consequently, this Flood Warning remains in place. The risk of flooding to property, roads and farmland remains. Areas most at risk are Hooton Road. Although further unsettled weather and showers are forecast, we are not expecting any further significant rainfall and so expect levels to continue to fall over the next 24 hours. Our incident response staff will continue to monitor the forecast and river levels. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to peak overnight, but remaining high into tomorrow morning, Monday 21/02/2022. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and put your flood plan into action.
